Welcome to the page of my creations. Through lived experience, I take the life-sap of inspiration and turn it into colorful conversions of art. Creativity is an invitation for us to explore the depths of human expression beyond everyday mundane reality. In my art I strive to capture the essence of symbolic musings that harmoniously create crafted blue prints with soulful principles at the core.
Every new work of art is drawn and cut out of different varieties of fragments, new or recycled paper. They need to be drawn and cut individually several times to fit the original template as it is a mirror process. It is a slow creative undertaking but rather meditative at that. Each piece tells its own story while contributing to a metaphorical kaleidoscope.
The materials used are predominantly; Italian marble paper, Mulberry paper, rice and cotton paper as well as Nepalese Lokta and Japanese Chiyogami paper. Most of these are handmade and dyed one layer at a time with pigment-based inks. Additional illustrative components are acrylics, oil, water color, gold leaf and other mediums of paper.
To me, being an artist is a healing tool in self-inquiry and exploration on the walk of life. I believe each one of us are a living being, part of the ever-evolving universal mosaic; that keeps on shifting and weaving our world, within as without.
